The Need for Speed Formula Drift Championship Series is the first and only officially sanctioned (by SCCA Pro Racing) and recognized North American professional drifting championship series to showcase the competitive thrill-seeking world of drifting. calls for drivers to control a car at high speed, beyond the limits of tire traction, as it slides sideways in a closed and a marked course. And, it’s not about finishing first on the track – it’s about who has the purest display of car control. Cooper supplies Formula Drift teams with a mix of ultra-high performance Cooper Zeon 2XS, Cooper Zeon ZPT and Cooper Zeon Sport A/S tires, providing the driver with the appropriate performance and handling capabilities needed to succeed.

Drifting has become one of the hottest segments in racing. It’s even hotter now that Cooper Tire has partnered with NOPI Drift, a new national premiere drifting event competition. Starting with its 2007 
season, NOPI named Cooper the official tire of its drift series, where fans will witness a new breed for speed. The excitement of this new series fits perfectly with Cooper’s ultra-high performance products. Cooper supplies NOPI Drift teams with a mix of Cooper Zeon 2XS, Cooper Zeon ZPT and Cooper Zeon Sport A/S tires, where drivers are competing for the largest per-event prize payout of any sanctioning body.
