Caterham
There are many Caterham racing series throughout Europe. These include the Caterham R400, Caterham Roadsport A & B and Caterham Academy. Most recent is the Cosworth Caterham Masters series. This is specifically for Caterham’s new track challenger, the Seven CSR 260.
The 260bhp Caterham CSR 260 has been race bred to provide the ultimate motorsport experience and the race series will be run under the auspices of the Caterham Club Germany, the successful organisers of the domestic German Caterham championship. It will be the only Caterham series to permit the use of slicks, and Avon has created a racing tyre specially.
V de V (Challenge Endurance Moderne)
Eric Van De Vyver (V de V) started Challenge Endurance Moderne in 2000. GT, Sport Prototype and Touring cars are all eligible for participation. The Sport Prototype class has grown considerably in popularity. Grids often exceed 45 cars and can reach 80 on grids at tracks such as Spa. The SP class attracts a variety of prototype makes and in 2005 all cars have to run on Avon, the chosen tyre supplier. Avon has developed many specifications in a range of sizes to cover all the makes entering the most popular class. Races take place in France, Belgium and Spain with many UK drivers and teams attracted to the close racing. Against the general trend in current motorsport V de V has created one the most successful new forms of racing.
